The Royal Yacht Britannia

On the 29th of May we joined with a group of senior missionaries and visited the Royal Yacht Britannia. “Britannia was the first Royal Yacht to be built with complete ocean-going capacity and designed as a Royal residence to entertain guests around the world. When she was decommissioned in 1997, it marked the end of a long tradition of British Royal Yachts, dating back to 1660 and the reign of Charles II.” (https://www.royalyachtbritannia.co.uk/history/historical-timeline/)

  1. Hi, Friends! Look like you are seeing some beautiful country! I venture to guess this time of season is exceptionally beautiful. We think of you often and appreciate all you are doing to serve in the mission field. We are currently staying in our apartment in Mapleton through the summer. We love being around the grandkids and spending time with family. We are planning a family reunion, the first for this side of the family, to celebrate my mom’s 90th birthday. We will be staying at Timp Lodge up at Sundance for a few nights with all of my mom’s children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren (or most of them, at least.) I have been staying with Brent and his family for the last ten days helping with their new baby. Abbey’s mom will be coming the end of this next week from IL, so it has been a pleasure to be able to spend this time with Brent’s family. They will have their hands full! Ken continues to work on his golf game. He also works part time doing swimming pool permits for Clark Heringer’s pool company. I am happy to be in the “organ rotation” in Wade’s ward and to be playing every several weeks. I have missed that, as I haven’t been asked to play since we moved to St. George until recently.

We love you! Have a wonderful July! I’m sure you’re missing your traditional July 4 family celebration. It’s probably pretty quiet for the Fourth out of the country!!
